Working notes:
Changed up the Lyrcis. "We're living in it.", "Overwheling worries". Did a overlay of dual vox, though the tempo may be a little fast. Brought the melodic line down between the two parts of the chorus - to create a clearer distinction. Also threw in a couple harmonies / echos.

Read a V&B Article about our live our money. A the 2007 Christmas Season approached, I thought about how many dreams in today's society are built on having some extravagant vacation, wedding, honeymoon, huge house, fancy car, this, that, and the other.
In the meanwhile, I thought more about our life in the People of Praise. How big dreams based in simplicity and frugality, can much more meaning that flaunty extravagant approaches.
I thought about things in our life - like having people over for dinner to discuss life in Christ. I thought about that its taken for us to come this point - a personal transformation in our heart, a baptism in the Holy Spirit.
I thought about the daily challenges that people face - worries about a job, about school, about a relationship, or whatever. How many times has it been important to ask for prayer for these type of things? All the time!! And the prayer is so readily available in POP.
Although I originally wrote the lyrics as "we're here to build it". I've recently found interest in wanting to change this to "we're living in it". There's been enough songs with build in the lyrics. The truth is, as we move closer together, open our homes, grow, etc. We're living as Christ, and bring the City to earth in our daily lives.
I originally titled this City of God. But, there's too many songs titled City of God. So I'm now giving it an alternate title of "In the City".
